Why Replace Single or Multiple Teeth
If you have one or more missing teeth, you may be placing yourself at risk for a variety of oral health problems down the road. In order to avoid developing these serious conditions, it is important to replace your missing teeth as soon as possible.
Over time, missing teeth can result in the following problems:
- Shrinking gum tissue
- Shifting of surrounding teeth
- Damage to roots of adjoining teeth
- Deterioration of your jawbone
Many of these problems will lead to additional issues, further impacting your oral health. For example, the shifting of your teeth may result in a misaligned bite, placing you at risk for temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ). Also, when your jawbone deteriorates, it will become weaker, impacting both your facial structure (you may look older than you actually are) and your ability to chew properly. If you are unable to chew certain foods, your diet may be impacted, resulting in poor nutrition.
Winterholler Dentistry recommends dental implants to restore a healthy and beautiful smile.
If you need to replace a missing tooth, please contact your Phoenix implant dentists today to schedule a consultation at Winterholler Dentistry, serving patients in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Payson, Arizona.
